The Mayor of Cape Coast, Hon. George Justice Arthur, on Monday, November 10, 2025, led a team of senior management officials from the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly (CCMA) on a courtesy visit to the University of Cape Coast (UCC).
The delegation was warmly received by the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor Denis Worlanyo Aheto, the Registrar, Mr. Gideon Enoch Abbeyquaye (Esq.), and other members of the University’s management team.
Discussions during the meeting centered on exploring strategic areas of collaboration between the Assembly and the University to promote socio-economic growth and infrastructural development within the Cape Coast Metropolis.
Professor Aheto expressed his delight at hosting the Mayor and his delegation, noting that it was the Mayor’s second visit to the University since assuming office. He commended the CCMA for its commitment to strengthening ties with the University and pledged to pay a reciprocal visit to the Mayor’s office in the near future.
Hon. George Justice Arthur, on his part, reiterated the Assembly’s readiness to partner with UCC in implementing development projects that will enhance the living conditions of residents and support the city’s transformation agenda.
Both institutions reaffirmed their commitment to deepen cooperation and foster a strong partnership for the overall progress and transformation of Cape Coast.
