Yesterday, the Cape Coast South Sub-Metro Assembly held elections for key positions, resulting in Hon. Benjamin Agbenyeku, Assembly Member for Anokyin/Fawohodzi Electoral Area, being elected as Council Chairman.
Hon. Agbenyeku secured 17 votes, defeating his closest contender, Hon. Fredrick Johnson, Assembly Member for Aboom/Master Electoral Area, who garnered only 7 votes.
Following his election, Mayor of Cape Coast, Hon. George Justice Arthur, administered the oath of office to Hon. Agbenyeku.
Additionally, the Sub-Metro Assembly elected chairmen for the Finance & Administration, and Development & Service Committees, further strengthening its leadership structure.
This development underscores the Assembly's commitment to effective governance and community representation.
