The hardworking, Mayor of Cape Coast, Hon. George Justice Arthur, together with the Head of the Ghana Hydrological Authority in Cape Coast, Mr. Okai, and representatives of Vulux Company Ltd, paid a courtesy visit to the Queen Mother, elders, and people of Ekon.
The engagement was held to officially brief the community on the proposed sea defence project to be undertaken by Vulux Company Ltd. The team outlined the scope of the project, the construction approach, and how the intervention will be designed to protect the shoreline, safeguard lives and property, benefit residents, and ensure safe access for fishermen and their boats and fishing vessels.
The meeting formed part of the Mayor’s commitment to inclusive stakeholder engagement, transparency, and ensuring that communities are adequately informed and actively involved in development initiatives that directly impact their livelihoods.
