The Mayor of Cape Coast, Hon. George Justice Arthur, led a team of Technical Officers from the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly on an extensive inspection tour of selected sites across the Metropolis earmarked for the construction of new boreholes.
The exercise formed part of the Assembly’s broader effort to expand access to clean and reliable water sources for residents, particularly in communities that continue to face water supply challenges.
The inspection allowed the team to assess the suitability of each proposed location and to finalize preparations ahead of the commencement of construction.
During the visit, the Mayor underscored the Assembly’s determination to complete the borehole projects by the end of November 2025, urging the technical staff to ensure strict adherence to standards, timelines, and sustainability measures.
He emphasized that the initiative aligns with the Assembly’s vision of enhancing public health, promoting environmental sanitation, and improving the overall quality of life for the people of Cape Coast.
Hon. George Justice Arthur reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to bringing essential services closer to the people, noting that access to safe water is not a privilege but a basic necessity that every resident deserves.
Together, we are working to build a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable Cape Coast for all.
