The Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly, under the leadership of the Mayor, Hon. George Justice Arthur, has hosted a distinguished delegation from Little Rock Sister Cities in the United States of America, led by Chairman Edward Haddock.
The visit, which further deepens international relations, was highlighted by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that will open doors of collaboration in several key sectors, aimed at bringing lasting benefits to both Cape Coast and Little Rock.
As part of the engagement, the Metropolitan Chief Executive facilitated a meeting between the delegation and the University of Cape Coast (UCC) to explore opportunities for academic, cultural, and developmental cooperation.
Hon. George Justice Arthur, in his remarks, expressed profound gratitude to the visiting team for choosing Cape Coast as a partner city. He emphasized that the MoU comes at a critical moment as the Assembly prepares to roll out an ambitious eight-year development plan designed to strategically transform the Metropolis across all major sectors of growth, culture, education, and infrastructure.
For his part, Chairman Edward Haddock thanked the Mayor and the entire management of CCMA for the warm hospitality accorded them. He assured that Little Rock Sister Cities is committed to working hand-in-hand with Cape Coast to achieve the shared vision of development and people-to-people exchange.
The delegation from Little Rock Sister Cities also included Brandon D. Morris (Vice Chair), Kelley Eubanks (Secretary), and Travis Rowan (Treasurer).
This new partnership marks yet another bold step towards strengthening Cape Coast’s international presence and building sustainable networks that will transform lives and communities.
Together, Cape Coast and Little Rock are setting the pace for a future of cooperation, innovation, and mutual progress.
