Late Monday afternoon, the Mayor of Cape Coast, Hon. George Justice Arthur, together with the General Manager of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) for the Central Region, Ing. Emmanuel Lumor, embarked on an inspection tour of dysfunctional streetlights along key streets in the Cape Coast Metropolis.
The exercise formed part of ongoing efforts by the Metropolitan Assembly, in collaboration with ECG, to restore and improve street lighting across the city. The goal is to enhance visibility at night, strengthen security, and make Cape Coast safer for residents and visitors alike.
This partnership highlights the Assembly’s commitment to working with key institutions to deliver practical solutions that improve the quality of life within the Metropolis.
