The delegation from the School Management Committee of Christ Church Anglican Basic School in Cape Coast, led by the school's Headteacher, Mr. Brandford Bright Mills, paid a courtesy call on the Mayor of Cape Coast, Hon. George Justice Arthur, at the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly.
The purpose of the visit was to seek urgent support for the school, particularly in terms of infrastructural development, with the aim of restoring the school's former glory and enhancing the learning experience for its pupils.
The delegation highlighted the school's specific needs and potential areas for improvement, including urgent completion of stalled new classroom block, provision of modern facilities, and expansion of existing infrastructure.
The Mayor, Hon. George Justice Arthur, listened attentively and expressed his commitment to supporting education in the city.
He assured the school management of his office's consideration for their request, emphasizing the importance of quality education and conducive learning environments in Cape Coast.
The Mayor's office has pledged to work closely with the school administration to identify feasible solutions and potential partnerships to address the school's infrastructural challenges, underscoring the city's commitment to nurturing future generations.
