Awal Oneal, the former Central Regional Deputy Youth Organizer of NDC, has been appointed as the Central Regional Coordinator for the District Roads Improvement Programme (DRIP).
As Regional Coordinator, Awal will oversee the effective implementation of DRIP projects in the Central Region, working closely with Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) and assemblies.
Awal's appointment comes on the heels of the National Coordinator for DRIP, Nii Lantey Vanderpuye, emphasizing the importance of effective maintenance and utilization of road equipment across the country.
Vanderpuye has been working to ensure that MMDAs properly maintain DRIP machines and implement comprehensive maintenance plans to prolong their lifespan.
With Awal at the helm, the Central Region can expect improved road infrastructure and enhanced accessibility, safety, and transportation networks.
His experience as a youth organizer will serve him well in this role, enabling him to effectively engage with stakeholders and drive project implementation.
