The development of every sector within the Cape Coast Metropolis remains a top priority for the Mayor, in line with H.E. the President’s Reset Agenda.
On Friday, 6th February 2026, the Mayor of Cape Coast, Hon. George Justice Arthur, together with the MP for Cape Coast North, Hon. Dr. Kwamena Minta Nyarku, Assembly officials, and Assembly Members from the respective Electoral Areas, carried out key project activities across the Cape Coast North Constituency in the Metropolis.
The sod-cutting ceremony was performed at Esuekyir for the construction of a six-unit classroom block, which symbolically synchronized with other projects set for construction in the Cape Coast North Constituency. These include a CHPS Compound at Dankwakrom, a JHS block at Bessakrom, and a mechanized borehole at the Amissano CHPS Compound.
The Mayor and MP also undertook inspection visits to project sites at Bessakrom, Dankwakrom, and Amissano to assess progress and readiness for the commencement of works.
In addition, they commissioned the Sewin Police Station, which will enhance security for the Sewin community, Cape Coast Technical University, and surrounding areas, as well as mechanized boreholes at Efutu Health Centre and the Kakumdo CHPS Compound.
These interventions demonstrate our continued commitment to improving education, healthcare, water access, and security for the people of Cape Coast.
Together, we are building a stronger and better Cape Coast.
