On 19th November 2025, the organizers of the prestigious and longest-running regional awards scheme, the Central Music Awards (CMA), paid a courtesy call on the Mayor of Cape Coast, Hon. George Justice Arthur.
The delegation from Heritage Promotions, led by the General Manager, Mr. Emmanuel Kweku Buckman (Mani Kay), and other executives, officially invited the Mayor to this year’s awards ceremony scheduled for Saturday, 29th November 2025, at the Centre for National Culture (CNC), Cape Coast.
As part of the visit, the team presented a customized CMA ’25 T-shirt to the Mayor, symbolizing the formal invitation to the event.
Hon. Arthur commended Heritage Promotions for their consistent efforts in celebrating musicians and creatives across the Central Region. He expressed appreciation for their commitment to promoting the region’s cultural and artistic excellence and assured the delegation of his presence at the ceremony, themed “Feel the Culture.”
The Mayor also revealed that the Assembly has appointed several individuals from Cape Coast as Tourism & Development Ambassadors, including Mr. Emmanuel Kweku Buckman, Mr. Ekow Simpson, Miss Portia Aba Ennin, Mr. Michael Orleans, and Mr. Godfred Okyere Boafo. The initiative, he explained, is aimed at strengthening the city’s tourism, cultural and creative influence.
He added that the Assembly will officially unveil the ambassadors in due course, as Cape Coast continues to advance initiatives that highlight its rich heritage and growing tourism potential.
