On Thursday, 7th August 2025, the Metropolitan Chief Executive of Cape Coast, Hon. George Justice Arthur warmly received Madam Charlotte Osei, former Chairperson of the Electoral Commission of Ghana, current member of the Ghana Gas Board, and Chairperson of the Afahye Planning Committee at his office.
The meeting centred on strategic discussions surrounding the upcoming Fetu Afahye celebrations, with both parties expressing strong commitment to making this year’s event truly memorable.
The conversation also focused on how the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly, as stewards of the city, can strengthen collaboration with the Oguaa Traditional Council and the Afahye Planning Committee to ensure a seamless and culturally rich celebration.
Taking advantage of the opportunity, the Mayor further engaged Madam Osei in broader discussions on the future development of Cape Coast, highlighting ongoing initiatives and exploring new avenues for progress in the year ahead.
