The Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly (CCMA) has successfully concluded a city-wide clean-up exercise, recording an impressive turnout from residents, institutions, and various stakeholders.
The initiative, aimed at promoting environmental cleanliness and public health, witnessed active participation across all communities within the metropolis.
The Assembly extends its appreciation to all who took part in the exercise, demonstrating a strong communal spirit and commitment to maintaining a cleaner and healthier Cape Coast.
However, the exercise also saw several Pragyia (tricycle) riders and some taxi drivers defying the Assembly's directive prohibiting operations between 6:00 a.m and 10:00 a.m during the clean-up period.
Law enforcement agencies were on the ground to ensure compliance, and those found flouting the regulation are being processed in accordance with the law.
The CCMA reiterates its commitment to enforcing sanitation regulations and ensuring that all residents and service providers adhere to established guidelines for the collective good of the metropolis.
